Assessments

I assess dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and can screen for Autism or offer a full diagnostic Autism assessment. Every assessment is carried out with sensitivity, respect, and a deep understanding of neurodiversity, ensuring that each client’s distinct attributes are recognised and valued.

As a highly trained and experienced psychologist, I provide a comprehensive range of individual, neurodivergent assessments. These are designed to explore a person’s unique cognitive profile, including their strengths and areas that may require additional support.

Neurodivergent Assessments

These specialised assessments delve into the nuances of a person’s cognitive abilities and challenges. By identifying core strengths and pinpointing areas of difficulty, I help individuals have a better understanding of themselves and creates actionable strategies that empower individuals to make the most of their capabilities.

The ultimate goal is to foster a supportive environment–whether in the workplace, university or classroom–where clients can thrive academically, professionally, and personally.

Diagnostic Assessments
for University Students and Children

For younger clients, including those referred by parents or schools, the focus is on uncovering learning needs that may influence their academic journey. For example, a child who struggles with reading may undergo a dyslexia screening, followed by tailored recommendations such as additional learning support, accommodations in exams, or structured reading strategies.

University students, who may self-refer or be referred by the institution itself or a parent, benefit from in-depth diagnostic neurodiversity assessments that highlight the assistance they need to realise their full potential. Recommendations often include additional time during exams, specialised support, and assistive technology.

These assessments are flexible, available both face-to-face and via secure video platforms, making them accessible to all individuals regarding of location.

Workplace Assessments and Support

I conduct assessments for individuals in the workforce. These evaluations are often requested by employers who understand the importance of supporting neurodiverse employees with their role or exam support for professional qualifications.

Identifying areas where adjustments and accommodations can enhance productivity helps both employee and employer achieve a more harmonious and efficient working relationship. Through employer engagements my reports recommend practical and appropriate adjustments in the workplace, such as flexible scheduling, assistive technologies, neurodiversity coaching strategies or communication training.

In tandem with these assessments, I offer neurodiversity training for teams, ensuring that the workplace culture embraces each individual’s unique contributions.

Late Diagnosis and Emotional Impact

I am committed to supporting not only younger individuals but also those who receive a diagnosis later in life.

For adults, discovering a neurodivergent identity can be both a relief and a source of complex emotions. Feelings of frustration over missed opportunities, understanding previous life challenges through a new lens, and navigating the process of self-acceptance can all accompany a late diagnosis.

I understand this deeply—I received my own neurodiverse diagnosis in my 40s, an experience that informs my empathetic, non-judgmental approach to clients embarking on a similar journey.

Through compassionate assessments and tailored guidance, I help individuals come to terms with their diagnosis, develop coping strategies, and find new ways to celebrate their unique strengths.
